Just who ARE "the backbenchers" that Mark talks about? I sometimes think I have a hunch, but I rarely hear the ones I suspect are the backbenchers, so I'm not at all sure.
Hannity, and Rush.
Michael Savage who I think is a liberal posing as a conservative.
Radio talk show hosts OTHER than Hannity and Rush. Savage, Medved, Reagan, Beck, Bortz, etc.
PING!
Ohhhhhhhhh.
Thanks for clearing that up.
Nope. He's a frontbencher: #3 overall.
Backbenchers... if Mark’s referring to Congress, they are those representatives and senators who are careerists but whom no one outside of their states or districts has ever heard of, quietly going along with the party line and pushing their own pork-barrel projects (who ever heard of Jumpin’ Jim Jeffords the Vermont Dairy Queen before he decided to give the Senate to the Democrats?).
He talks about Weiner by name all the time. I am talking about the ones he doesn’t name.
I suspect he means Medved, and maybe Prager. I have occasionally thought he meant Glenn Beck. I never hear Sean, Mark, or Rush mention Beck, though they talk about each other fairly often.
Not Hannity and Rush. They are friends, and he praises them all the time.
Not Congress. Other talk radio guys. Mark calls them “the morning backbenchers.”
Again, thanks for clearing that up.
What was I thinking?
I know Ingraham is one of them because Levin referenced a ‘back bencher’ who dated olberman(or went out on a date with him).
Levin became a back bencher when he dodged the BC issue.
As long as we’re playing Right-Wing Radio Soap Opera—what’s with Laura and marriage. After she got cancer, her engagement was ended somehow. She seems to have a child now. Is she married to someone else? Is she married to the guy she was originally engaged to?
Her nasal voice gets on my nerves.
Some say the same thing about Levin.
She did a single Mom adoption.
Levin is the king of the nasal voice.
That’s kind of weird. Not very conservative.
His nasal voice doesn’t get on my nerves. Her nasal voice does get on my nerves.
Both Savage and Levin accuse others of stealing their ideas, constantly!
I listen to both and like both. I admire their courage to speak out forcefully. They both provide oodles of original and great ideas but..
I've listened to radio since the 1940s. I've never heard such whining about people stealing ideas -- bor-r-r-r-ing.
BTW if you look up Joe Pyne you'll see that both Savage and Levin stole stuff from him!
