Haven’t done any new sampling lately. I’ve settled on Woodford, Basil Hayden & Elijah Craig. Elijah being my go-to because it’s the least expensive.
I’ll probably get back into sampling other brands this spring, when I can sit on the porch and enjoy the weather along with the batch...
That is the beauty of winter in Houston....sandals and outdoor dining (summer is impossible because hell is happy they aren’t located here during those months!)
I’ll give those a try. Wish I were more of a connoisseur; I mostly stick with the old reliables like Maker’s Mark and Wild Turkey.
Me too. Better weather where I can sit on the deck, smoke a decent stogie and sip on some bourbon.
