NOW everyone will jump on the band wagon now that the usurper has gotten into office.

I can’t even imagine what would happen in this country if that were to happen.

This country could survive the turmoil. What this country won't survive, is the rule of man over the rule of law.

"We are not denying evidence nor malforming the truth. That ... that would be you."

I think some of us here have become so unhinged at the ascension of St. Obama that our judgment has suffered.

If it wasn't the birth certificate business it would be the oath of office fiasco. If not that, then something else. We need a basis, a pretext or excuse, by which we can question Obama's legitimacy as President and, most importantly, feel justified in doing so.

Yes, it is the same behavior that the left practiced starting in 2000 - 2001 with Bush. "Selected, not elected..." etc.

It was crazy talk then and it's crazy talk now.

I agree but how many times has the SCOTUS turned this request down? AFter 4 or so times saying no, why all of a sudden would they say yes?

While I would love to see Obama be proved to be a fake and not a true US citizen, you guys are dreaming and starting to look foolish like the drones on the left who went after Bush.

Pardon the bad metaphor, but I want Obama to make idiotic mistakes to create enough rope to hang himself and have people realize what a mistake it was to elect him to the point people say, “we wish we had Bush back in office.”

Why hasn’t the media reported this story? Because if Zero doesn’t do what they demand, they’ll turn on him quickly-and the story will sell more papers, now that he’s in. Stuff like this will be ratings GOLD-even the riots.

The issue may be “nutty” but then so is the refusal to spend 12 bucks to end it.

Why spend several hundred thousand (maybe even a million at this point) to keep it under wraps, when less than $20 will end everything once and for all.

Occam's Razor.

Yeah, it’s almost like a diversionary tactic—putting a lot of attention on the TRULY inconsequential fumbling of a few words, so as to put to rest the whole issue of “legitimacy”. The Left is preternaturally skilled at this-—it’s second nature to them, requiring no planning at all.

I just have one question for you then. Why is Obama spending upwards of a million dollars or more, and using the resources of at least three law firms to fight the release, when a check for $20 can get the original released to end the controversy?

Because he got $750M in campaign donations so any money spent defending the title is a drop in the bucket. Why go through the hassle of showing off a long form when it makes it so easy to create a convenient bogeyman. The threat from the BC bloggers is absolutely zero, likewise the gain from displaying the original cert.

Cost of an original copy of birth certificate $12

Cost of fighting multiple court challenges to being “Natural Born” 1.2 million

Getting called a “KOOK” for simply asking why not spend the $12...

PRICELESS!

(Yes Berg is a nut, but why not spend the $12)
(Yes the API nonsense is a scam, but why not spend the $12)
(Yes, there are other issues, but why not spend the $12)

Even if it’s proven in the next couple of months that he wasn’t born here, he would never be removed - I can’t even imagine what would happen in this country if that were to happen.””

Worse yet, I can’t imagine what is going to happen if this fraud continues down the socialist road of tyranny. I would take the pain of his removal any day.

Let’s have Obama removed from office. The law is the law and Biden would be easier to beat in 2012. Of course. I’d love to see them DQ the entire Democrat ticket.

Would it have been better to have the soft socialism of natural born President (and co-president) Clinton? Don't answer, because far too many people here give the wrong answer. The fact is that socialism, which requires the approval of the democratic congress must be fought by the ballot in 2010. The BC controversy, such as it is, must be fought with various spurious lawsuits until it dies a well deserved death. Do not conflate the two.

And the consequences in the battle against socialism would be what? Think it through carefully.

Seems to me that would be an illegal use of campaign funds.

Even if I could offer an explanation it would only engender another series of interlocking conspiracies. I honestly don't know.

But that doesn't constitute evidence that he came from outer space.

BDS was not about George Bush, but about his detractors.

ODS isn't any more attractive and can't serve the common ends that most of us on FR share.

The “next big thing” will no doubt be something related to
the GREEN AGENDA this Administration will push like there was literally no tomorrow (which, ironically, they believe)
SO—the money-making opportunities of that Agenda will initially be SUBSIDIZED by OUR funny-money- taxpayer-dollars-of-the-future, and you can be sure a thousand pseudo-entrepreneurs are already in place to recieve grants, start-up capital, etc etc. , all to “develop” ideas
that will never see the light of day, and were never meant to. These are patronage awards, and don’t be surprised if the now-dead horse of global warming finds a new stable for itself, reincarnated in a different guise. Secretary of Carbon Credits, anyone?

No, the FEC allows campaign funds to be used for all sorts of legal defenses. See the case of Vitter defending against ethics charges, just one example of many.
