The issue may be “nutty” but then so is the refusal to spend 12 bucks to end it.

Why spend several hundred thousand (maybe even a million at this point) to keep it under wraps, when less than $20 will end everything once and for all.

Because he got $750M in campaign donations so any money spent defending the title is a drop in the bucket. Why go through the hassle of showing off a long form when it makes it so easy to create a convenient bogeyman. The threat from the BC bloggers is absolutely zero, likewise the gain from displaying the original cert.
