The steely hearted "Angel of Death", whose mission was to create a master race fit for the Third Reich, was the resident medic at Auschwitz from May 1943 until his flight in the face of the Red Army advance in January 1945.
His task was to carry out experiments to discover by what method of genetic quirk twins were produced and then to artificially increase the Aryan birthrate for his master, Adolf Hitler.
Now, a historian claims, Mengele's notorious experiments may have borne fruit.
For years scientists have failed to discover why as many as one in five pregnancies in a small Brazilian town have resulted in twins most of them blond haired and blue eyed.
But residents of Candido Godoi now claim that Mengele made repeated visits there in the early 1960s, posing at first as a vet but then offering medical treatment to the women of the town.
Shuttling between Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil, he managed to evade justice before his death in 1979, but his dreams of a Nazi master race appeared unfulfilled.

What I want to know is how the devil he snuck into the US to create the Twin Cities! ;-)
The real question is what Martin Bormann was getting up to.
Mengele was a mad man, not a genius. If someone wants to know what so many blonds are in one area they have only to examine their DNA.
Just someone trying to sell books. phhhhttt!
When Martin was not kissing Adolf,s butt,he was busy trying to figure out how he would run the third reich after Adolf was gone.
Du Quoin Illinois has a tremendous incidence of twins and most of the children in the town look like they were popped from the same mold. They are all red or blond haired and have the same teeth. When I worked the Fair up there I was amazed at the Xerox kids. I wondered how parents could tell them apart or if it mattered. When it was time to home go from the playground maybe Mom or Dad just took two girls and a boy home with them because that is what they had birthed. Even the names did not differentiate them. They all seemed to share four or five names per sex. If I had a large group of little ones waiting for my ride(I had a big old frog children’s slide) I would call out “Caleb!” or “Caitlin!” and a dozen heads would turn my way. The mothers did not look so much alike because they wore their hair in different styles and wore different pins.

When it came time to find a Catholic Church I just waited for an extremely rare dark haired child and asked him where Church was. All the dark haired people seem to go to ONE church on Sunday.
That would be an interesting genetic study.
yeah the upper class.. the one’s La Raza and other groups never blame for illegal immigration. Big hypocrisy.
Most intriguing.
Not sure where to place this but it’s cool.
Damn, sounds like an X-files episode!
I was just going to say—I think that guy’s my dentist...
Did I say those kids all dressed alike? not quite the same clothes but they wore the same color combinations.
Soooo, what do you think was going on? Coincidence, inbreeding, govt experiment, or something else?
No notìon at all. I did not study the place. I just worked the fair there. Some time after I had been there someone told me she heard a news item about a school teacher who had 5 sets of twins in her class and their families wouldn’t let the school separate them into different classes. I asked if it was in Du Quoin. She said yes, and how did I know that? Du Quoin is just a few miles up the road from Carbondale. Counting heads it appeared that a full third of the kids were red-haired.
