If I have choice between Brent Farve or Kurt Warner, I would pick Kurt..

There’s no question Warner had a very good game last weekend and he probably should be considered as one of the top three QBs in the league, but the article completely overlooked the fact that Warner was throwing to probably the best receiver in the game, Larry Fitzgerald. Fitz is an absolute beast and last week broke the all-time post season receiving yardage record previously held by Jerry Rice, and he’s still got another game to play.

Having said all that, Steelers win the Super Bowl 31-17. And Warner throws three picks.

Nine and seven in the regular season is not something to brag about. If their division was half as good as the others they wouldn’t have even made the playoffs. If the Cards win the Super Bowl good for them but to deify Warner is premature.

Uh, no.

Look full disclosure, I'm an Eagles fan still smarting from Sunday. Kurt Warner had one hell of a game, the entire Cardinals team did. They're a rock solid team that's on the top of their game and they flat out beat the Eagles. No two ways about that.

Kurt Warner is a very good QB, I won't take that away from the guy. He's a great story who's had some sensational seasons. I'd definitely support him as MVP this season.

But how can you possibly compare what these two have accomplished since they came into the league in 1998?

Peyton's started 16 games all 11 seasons, Warner's done that just three times.
Manning has won double digit games in seven straight seasons. Warner has won just over 50 games.
Yardage, TDs, none of that is even close.

Unfortunately from 2002-2006 Warner was pretty bad. A nice run in one post season here isn't enough to erase those five seasons.

Warner, again, is a nice player, but he's no Peyton Manning, not by a long shot.

Compare this pic to the SI pic you posted. Notice anything?

Peyton doesn't needs his plays strapped to his wrist.

I get so tired of the constant comparisons. Kurt is a great QB, but if you want to compare, I doubt he’s actually better than Peyton Manning.

I’m pulling for Kurt and the team to win the SB. Sure hope it happens. But these sports writers would be better off not trying to compare all the players. It gets old.
