If I have choice between Brent Farve or Kurt Warner, I would pick Kurt..

Kurt’s great. And he’s a great guy. And I think he’s great for the sport. But no way is he better than Peyton Manning. It’s arguable that Tom Brady is better than Peyton Manning, even though I think he is.

When he is healthy, he might be the best in the bizness.

Kurt’s life story and how he got where he is is probably the best in the NFL.

I agree... Not bad for a guy who came from a Grocery Store and Arena Football.. The Bears almost had him twice and they said no..

There’s no question Warner had a very good game last weekend and he probably should be considered as one of the top three QBs in the league, but the article completely overlooked the fact that Warner was throwing to probably the best receiver in the game, Larry Fitzgerald. Fitz is an absolute beast and last week broke the all-time post season receiving yardage record previously held by Jerry Rice, and he’s still got another game to play.

Having said all that, Steelers win the Super Bowl 31-17. And Warner throws three picks.

Both are great QB’s but Warner is better than Peyton, Eli and Archie.

Nine and seven in the regular season is not something to brag about. If their division was half as good as the others they wouldn’t have even made the playoffs. If the Cards win the Super Bowl good for them but to deify Warner is premature.

Willie Parker has better playoff numbers than Ladanian Tomlinson and Barry Sanders does that mean Willie Parker is better than LT and Barry Sanders?

Troy Aikman better playoff numbers than Dan Marino. Is Aikman a better QB than Dan Marino? Answer: Are you joking? Is Troy Aikman a better QB than Dan Marino what are you smoking?

He will only be deified after he smokes the stillers.

They’re really re-deifying him. Back in the old Greatest Show on Turf days they were making him out to be superman. Then he screwed up his thumb and spent a couple years as a turn over machine. He’s finally healthy and winning when it counts so now they’re dusting off the old stories.

Uh, no.

Look full disclosure, I'm an Eagles fan still smarting from Sunday. Kurt Warner had one hell of a game, the entire Cardinals team did. They're a rock solid team that's on the top of their game and they flat out beat the Eagles. No two ways about that.

Kurt Warner is a very good QB, I won't take that away from the guy. He's a great story who's had some sensational seasons. I'd definitely support him as MVP this season.

But how can you possibly compare what these two have accomplished since they came into the league in 1998?

Peyton's started 16 games all 11 seasons, Warner's done that just three times.
Manning has won double digit games in seven straight seasons. Warner has won just over 50 games.
Yardage, TDs, none of that is even close.

Unfortunately from 2002-2006 Warner was pretty bad. A nice run in one post season here isn't enough to erase those five seasons.

Warner, again, is a nice player, but he's no Peyton Manning, not by a long shot.

Take a deep breath.

Put the crackpipe down.

Back slowly away.

It all depends on what you’re looking at, stats or wins. Stats are nice, good for bonus checks and stuff, but the guys go out on the field for wins, preferably championships. Most guys who finished their careers with lots of great stats and no rings are pretty quick to tell you they’d trade all the stats for one ring.

What terrified me were the “Donovan McNabb to the Bears” rumors floating around...
