It's late and most Freepers don't know me (2.5 month noobie) but had to jump in here and say that in my 47 years of life I have never been without a dog in my life...and each and every one of those loyal companions have always been Labs.

There is, respectfully to others breed lovers, no other dog for me. I've lost Labs in divorce settlements, lost labs to cancer and as someone who works in explosive detection, worked with Auburn University's Canine Odor Detection Research Department (Google their website), specializing in the use and breeding of Labs, feels there is no greater friend, and no greater dog.

I am being selfish emotionally...there is only one #1 breed...Das Lab!

My girl is now looking at me eyes that tell me I should be giving her a "Bedtime Treat" bone now...gotta go!!!!
