***Confession is good for the soul. I have a sweater vest with giant snowflakes and a big white pom on the zipper! I love the person who gave it to me dearly, so it hangs prominently in my closet.***
LOL!

Nope, it’s condescending and patronizing. Call it what it is and let it speak for itself. Pray for her in private.

Re: “Bless Her Heart”
Of course. Being a Southerner and a Texan I say “yes.” I think you should add the phrase “she means well,” too.

***Mamie Eisenhower in a ‘50s-style housewifely dress***
So her first three outfits as a First Lady are: Drapery Viewing Outfit, Bedspread Ballgown Outfit, and TeaTowel Church outfit. Wonder what’s next? Hope it’s not a State Dinner Bathrobe Outfit! Bless her heart, she means well...

I think our heading for our thread should include bless her heart. Maybe we could call it the Bless Her Heart Michelle Fashion thread.
I like "Fashion Police" better. (Warning: I might be prejudiced, since I had 'bless your heart' used against me recently. I translated it as: 'I'm really irritated by what you said, but I'm not smart enough to think of a coherent argument against it.')
But I think I'd like "Fashion Police" better. Funnier.

But I’m all for keeping ‘bless her heart’ in individual posts, the more, the merrier. Where are those photographers?

That sure was a beautiful gown. I can’t stand Hillary, but, she has been looking very nice lately.

That’s the funny thing about that expression. Someone says it to you and it takes 5 seconds to realize you’ve been dissed.

Oh, I knew instantly I'd been dissed. I was just amused at the fact that the other person, bless her heart, hadn't been able to come up with a more substantive diss.

“How about socks? I have a weakness for cat-socks. Sometimes I wear them with nice suits - I figure it’s the equivalent of the guys here who wear Snoopy ties. The doctor who diagnosed my cancer was wearing a nice suit and cat socks. I commented on the socks and she blushed and mumbled something about pulling them out the drawer in the dark. I said, “It’s okay...I get it.”
I promise I won’t overdo it... “
Good grief, the answer to that is:
NO
Okay, LADIES (and I use that term loosely) if you are going to criticize Michelle Obama’s lack of fashion sense, at least don’t be a hypocrite!!! You MUST NOT wear aaaannnnyyything NOVELTY. PERIOD.
Put it in a box. Give it to the homeless.
:) I say this with love in my heart

I agree. It would be the perfect compromise, “Bless her heart, she means well.”
LOL! The more i think about it, the more I laugh. Oh, PERFECT!
