Obama goes for the Assault Weapons Ban on Day 1! (So much for Respecting the 2nd A)

Address Gun Violence in Cities: Obama and Biden would repeal the Tiahrt Amendment, which restricts the ability of local law enforcement to access important gun trace information, and give police officers across the nation the tools they need to solve gun crimes and fight the illegal arms trade. Obama and Biden also favor commonsense measures that respect the Second Amendment rights of gun owners, while keeping guns away from children and from criminals. They support closing the gun show loophole and making guns in this country childproof. They also support making the expired federal Assault Weapons Ban permanent.

Please knock off these attack OKSooner. I agree that people shouldn’t be going around hinting at violence. However, ultimately, that is why the 2nd amendment was created. The second amendment is a threat of violence against government tyrants. That threat is supposed to protect us from tyranny and concentration death camps like nazis/Socialist Germany, communist Russia, communist China, Communist/Socialist Cambodia all experienced.

There was a good supply of AR at the Houston Gun Show last Sunday, but at 30% to 50% over what they were six months ago. HOWEVER, many of the online wholesellers/discount houses are quoting 6 to 25 weeks for deliveries. My ffl is on the waiting list for two lower manufactorers and says it maybe March or April before he sees anything...

Ammo is almost as bad...

I think people here know all too well who is now running the country. Sad when one cannot even vent against freedoms being overtly stolen from us, while the other side can make outright death threats against Bush/Cheney et al.

I am not advocating threats of any kind of course, but the 2nd A was put in place partly against the rule of tyranny. And if people are being chastised for making simple comments, God help the future of this country.
