the Hollywierd types could have been doing all those things for the last eight years.

Well, they've been a-holes their whole life--until they found The Big O. Now they've got him to show them the way.

Ha, ha—one of them pledges to bring awareness to mental disease. Sounds like they are getting a good start on that project.

Compare and contrast the coronation address of Queen Elizabeth II, sixty years ago, where she pledged to be “of service” to her people to this jackassery, where our betters in Hollywood pledge to be of service to our newly elected President.

It is alarming how much our assumptions on the relationship between the individual and government have changed in the past sixty years.

Of course, all of these solemn “pledges” by these Hollywood B-Listers will be immediately forgotten when it comes time to actually write a check or show up for something more demanding than a self-serving photo-op.

My Momma always told me that you can expect people to be tomorrow pretty much like they were yesterday, regardless of what they are telling you today.

Momma was right a whole lot more often than she was wrong.

I think I will promote this bit of Momma’s wisdom to the tag-line.

Wonder how many private jets flew into DC?? Course there is no outrage by the DNC for that.

Pray for America and Our Troops

What is up with pledging service TO OBAMA?

Why not pledge it TO AMERICA?

Do these cultish morons not realize anything?

I swear, this is really bad Stephen King novel where people are hypnotized through their cell phone or something.

Gran Turino is just ok, no better than that. There are structure problems, character development problems, acting issues (the girl is terrible and Eastwood is nothing but a charicature for most of the film - laughable at some points).

Much of the story is transparent and predictable, including the ending.

The fact that so many people think it's so good is due to the fact that so many other movies really suck.

Why not pledge it TO AMERICA?

Because they aren't dedicated to America, just liberalism. They want the option to be anti-American and dissent in case a Republican ever becomes president.

“Because they aren’t dedicated to America, just liberalism. They want the option to be anti-American and dissent in case a Republican ever becomes president. “

I gotcha, it makes sense now. Well, not really, but I understand why they are so crazy at least.

Truly unbearable to even watch.

The clueless leading the clueless.

And they wonder why people are less and less willing to watch them.

No it is just a good movie. It is true that so many movies really suck and this lack of enthusiasm can not help but impact the lens that movie goers view the film through. However its major greatness is that it bucks the politically correct BS ninety percent of the film.

Sure I can rip and tear in lots of places and did, but I really enjoyed the film for how it flips off the PC BS that has completely taken over our culture. The film has a strong message of respect yourself, the United States and her culture, history, her veterans, and also that one must work for what they have to feel good about who they are. It is the ultimate message to US immigrants and to young people of what and who to respect and also that they are our future that we have sacrificed for and thus they have a responsibility to live rightly. In the end it was just a good movie done by a talented and decent man who refuses to sit down and shut up just because he is aging and as an artist I admire Clint very much.
