They should have been pardoned. Now they wont be able to get a job at McDonalds because of a felony conviction. The only thing a commutation means is that the government won't have to give them three hots and a cot.

Bush did the right thing. If they had not tried to cover up what they had done and were convicted, they should have been pardoned. As it is, shooting the guy shouldn’t have gotten them fired. Hiding evidence and trying to cover up what they did is not excusable. Commutable, but not pardonable...
Once again, Bush makes the right call.
