I question the source and reasoning of/for association.
I guess I go under the assumption that those who are ignorant of history are often bound to repeat it.
I’ll start (for convenience, I’ve used the present tense):
Both are fundamentally fascist in their outlook on the interaction between state, capital, labour, and individuals.
Both are psychologically scarred by their abnormal and abusive upbringings.
Both, if Jeremiah Wright is any indication, believe in a master race and are deeply ensconced in issues of race as the key to political mastery.
Both are relatively thin.
Both arguably manipulated economic issues and exacerbated political tensions to ensure their rise to power. Hopefully Zero will be unsuccessful in using these issues to maintain his grip on power.
Both depend upon fear and intimidation of political opponents (e.g., Zero’s numerous lawsuits against people who criticized him during the campaign).
On the other hand, there are important differences. For example, Zero smokes and appears to eat meat. Thank goodness we don’t have a vegetarian in the WH.
Feel free to chime in with others.
