Well it is all speculation now. Seeing all of the plot twists tonight, we might as well wait and be amazed in the next weeks.

That is the exact EST time in the episode when Tigh showed it was Ellen. Dirty trick!

It was the final clue on
You Will Know The Truth
Another clue about Ellen was Lee saying "We believe the 5th Cylon is dead." at a press conference.

Someone is definitely manipulating the situation. So many people are having visions that lead them to this point. Roslyn with her visions of Earth and the temple. Starbuck with her visions of the comet signpost that lead to Earth. Diana with her visions of the final five every time she died and was resurrected. The writers have a lot to wrap up but so far I like your explanation.
Thanks!
Another thing to consider: we don't know the nature of the Cylon "god". Is it a supernatural entity (as we see God today), or is it a "real" (tangible sense) entity that was simply the creator of the Cylons ... and possibly the resurrection technology?
Think of a variation of V'ger from Star Trek The Motion Picture. V'ger's "god" wasn't the God of Abraham, Isaac and Moses ... but (in reality) NASA engineers.
Consider this possibility (and my thoughts on this are pretty much evolving as I type). The "original" copies Cylon Final Five were actually humans who used advanced technology to transfer their consciousness' into bio-mechanical (Cylon) replicas of themselves when the nuking took place. Starbuck's Viper crashes on Earth, but her consciousness is transferred into a biomechanical replica just like the Final Five. All that would be required is 1.) some sort of automated activation routine in the resurrection technology, 2.) Ellen being on/near "earth" and using the technology to save Starbuck 3.) the indeterminate-nature Cylon "god" using the technology to save Starbuck or 4.) some combination of one or more of the above. That would make the current Starbuck a Cylon, though.

What if these final five created a hybrid type technology to download human conciousness into engineered biological bodies?
Great minds apparently think alike - didn't read this until after I posted essentially the same thing.

Or she’s just a human clone.

Or shes just a human clone.
It may end up being hard to distinguish between a "clone" and a skinjob Cylon. They may be the same thing, or very close to it.
IIRC we only know of four differences between the latter 7 types of skinjobs and humans indicating mechanical components in the former. 1.) their backs light up during sex. 2.) they have some sort of data jack/port in their arm. 3.) their eyes have some sort of light (IR?) data transfer capability. 4.) their blood is different (but to an infinitesimal degree ... enough that the blood of a 1/2 human 1/2 skinjob child causes Roslin's cancer to go into remissions, but not enough to be able to be identified as "cylon" through a standard blood test.
Moore has said that the Final Five are different. One difference might be that they are much more clonish (if not outright clones with some small mechanical implants ... such as some kind of solid-state chip that downloads their consciousness into the new body's brain) than the other 7.

I FINALLY get it! The significance of the
Last Supper Pic
This Pic was never meant to be purely artistic. It was meant to point to the final cylon. Look at it closely (knowing what we know NOW!).
Notice that Saul is sitting by himself...and there is a gap where someone used to be (Ellen). However, her glass is there. Deana is pointing at 6 (who Saul has been with...because he thinks she is Ellen sometimes).
To: tanknetter
So this is what I got out of it...
Humans created skinjob Cylons in their own image to carry their souls after death.
Kara actually did die, but somehow was brought back in Cylon form. She is not the fifth, but is now Cylon.
Tigh will find a way to bring Ellen back.
my prediction...
Laura Roslyn will die and Adama will bring her back as Cylon..
food for thought..

K systems are too red. Humans would go blind!
A common misconception.
To: Laz711
Maybe it wasnt her, we just saw blond hair....Ellen? No, it was Starbuck. She found her dog tags on the body. There was also the tail number of her Viper found on the wreckage.
To: SunTzuWu
> If that was her Viper that was destroyed and there is no resurrection ship, how did she come back?
Something that people seem to be missing is that a resurrection ship only spits out new bodies, not flight suits or Vipers, nor would it have allowed Starbuck 2.0 to rejoin the fleet, if for no other reason than, at the time, the Cylons didn't know where the fleet was. I wonder if it may be the handy-work of the “Beings of Light” from the original series?.

a hybrid type technology to download human conciousness into engineered biological bodies? In the upcoming spinoff series Caprica, which is set some fifty years prior to the events of the current series, the first Cylons are created in more or less the way you've described.
In my view, it's highly likely that the Colonials are themselves "Cylons" (artificial people) created by a predecessor race (the Lords of Kobol), who were in turn "Cylons" created by the original humans from Earth. The Lords of Kobol nuked their creators (the original Humans)... and were in turn nuked by their "Cylons"... who became the Colonials... who were nuked by "Cylons" of their own. "All of this has happened before..."
This time, however, there's a chance that the Wheel of Karma can be escaped. Don't forget that there are still several tropes from the original series left unused. The Ships of Light... Count Iblis... and, significantly, Starbuck-as-Angel.
And then there's Hera and Nicholas to consider...
Anyway, I have a feeling that the final resolution is going to be so far out that nobody will have guessed it. Wouldn't it be wild if poor, dead Billy Keikeya somehow returns and is revealed as the ultimate puppetmaster of fate?

Good grief!
First Cally and now Dee?
What is WRONG with the writers — are they misogynists?

So whenever you have skin jobs, they make centurians and eventually get killed by them. Never killed a skin job here... ;)

OK, I’m not a prude (in fact, I’m kinda the model of the South Park Republican) but . . . . What in the heck is Kentucky Fried Chicken thinking when it’s promoting the “Frak Pak”? Col. Sander is rolling over in his grave. Bunch of corporate idiots at YUM. Several marketing idiots need to lose their jobs.
