H.J.RES.5 Title: Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to repeal the twenty-second article of amendment, thereby removing the limitation on the number of terms an individual may serve as President.
Isn't Bloomie trying to do the same thing in NYC?
Didn’t know that. We’re screwed!
“Next they will attempt to abolish the electoral college.”
Already happening. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/11/20/opinion/20thu1.html?_r=1&em
Looking at the states involved with the interstate compact, I think the strategy is to get democrat leaning states paired up with a few republican leaning states to eliminate republican election chances for good. All it will take is a few GOP leaning states.
the b@stards are getting more and more sneaky about things, aren’t they?
Ok. Imagine 2012. The American voters have had enough and there is a popular vote landslide for a fiscally conservative supply-sider with a hawkish foreign policy.
What do these states do, which would have been able to have electors vote for the Democrat liberal candidate had they stayed with the EC?
These things do work both ways.
we the people should start demanding 2 term limits on other politicians also....put an end to carreer politicians once and for all....
Yep!
I agree. I just don’t think those who want to eliminate the EC have thought things thru. They are assuming they will always have the popular vote.

We are not a Democracy, we are a Republic.
The Democrats think we should be a Democracy so that “majority rule” can do whatever it wants. Republic means by definition “Rule of Law.” It’s what keeps the posse from lynching whomever the majority votes to lynch.
God Save the USofA.
