At least we don’t have to pretend he isn’t a Soros puppet anymore.

-————I was flabberghasted when he came out ahead in the primaries. Explain that one to me.———————————

Some of us around here are fully capable of explaining it.

1. Puff piece liberal media coverage. McCain’s base was the liberal media until Romney dropped out. Then the media started their smears.

2. Pre-operation chaos operation chaos. Liberal style. I’m pretty sure that Rush talked about the mass amount of crossover votes that McCain was winning. I know I read a handful of articles from conservative media about it, but I doubt I’d find them now, I appologize.

3. Huckabee. It doesn’t matter if he’s a huge lib, Huckster wears his christianity on his sleeve and the christians are ...........just.............. sick of being kicked around.

So betwee, puff piece liberal media coverage, mass crossover votes in the early primaries, and Huckabee siphoning off a ton of conservatives who probably didn’t know his stances(or maybe even didn’t care)

That’s how you got McCain.

Explain that one to me.

Several reasons really. He simply outlasted all other competitors with a great media wind at his back. Democrats voting for him. Others dropping out and throwing their support to him.

Sad really.

No one who is concerned about this country would ever promote amnesty. We have high unemployment rates and people are losing jobs, and McCain is pushing amnesty. For whatever reason, he has been pushing legislation harmful to this country.

many words...many, many words.

The words are true, the logic is correct, and his argument is sound.

A good question and one I have no answer for except perhaps a North American Union? I also heard on Mark's show that McCain is flirting with going Dim. A short trip for him.

Maybe McCain did act like he'd be against amnesty during the election, but that's just being a politician.

We have to get past this idea. We will not be able to make proper judgments about the people we elect to lead the nation if lying is tolerated. This isn't idealistic rather truthfulness is vital to determine who should be voted into leadership positions.

I was flabberghasted when he came out ahead in the primaries. Explain that one to me.

Too many candidates and perhaps one ringer. I suspect that Fred Thompson worked to get McCain the nomination. Fred ran so far beneath his ability that I was concerned his cancer was acting up again. The the words Mission Accomplished appeared on his web site after McCain won the nomination. At least that is what was posted here.

We are going to be fighting McCain all over again. BUT - THIS TIME we have 10 million unemployed AMERICANS to help us. The Capitol phone system will be shut down faster than last time.

Obama may not be stupid enough to press the amnesty button. He saw Bush's approval crater after that and the loss of the GOP congress.

I hate to say it, but you are right. The last time he took the oath of office he swore to uphold the Constitution of the United States of America. Then he turned around and made himself part of McCain Feingold which took away my rights to free speech before an election. He is a traitor in my book.

It was the cross-over votes in the early states from rats that gave him the illusion of inevitability. They clearly said he was a weak candidate for the GOP a long time before. We’re only on life support now because of Sarah Palin.

“I mean he drives me crazy on immigration, campaign finance, going soft on domestic terrorists like Obama, but...

No okay maybe he is what you say he is but he’s old and has been in the past unbelievably heroic so I will give him a pass.”

A pass to do what exactly? More of the same long list of blunders he’s already made?

Shamnesty and Cap & Trade are McCain's double whammy on America. He supports a lot of other kill-America mischief too but those two are mega-killers.

McCain’s “conservative” record. My collection.

This guy spent how many years in a POW camp?

Benedict Arnold was known as the hero of the Battle of Saratoga.

For good reason.

Still, he turned traitor.

If he gets amnesty passed, that by far overshadows every heroic/patriotic action he's ever done in his life.

As far I'm concerned, he's overplayed that card many times over already. In public office, he should only be judged and complimented or criticized for what he does as a US Senator. And, man does he deserve the criticisms from my point-of-view, and the POW experience exempts him from nothing.

I see, so time in Hanoi Hilton excuses arm-twisting for bills that invigorate slavery.

Not pro-slavery? What am I talking about?

Simply this:
1. Creating conditions that allow what the slavers do when they smuggle in people to work here. The Rape-trees, the people dying in cargo containers, all of it. Anyone who through his actions aids that is just the same. McCain aids it by allowing it through law and creating a magnet to give the slavers, cyoties [sp?] a hook.
2. Economically enslaving our granchildren, piling debt that will allow the communization of our country, 80%+ tax rates on everyone, enslaving our children to foreign power via energy needs. Hyper-inflation, the new $2billion base for baseline budgeting... thanks, John.
3. Damaging the Constitution, the blueprint that allows us to be a "Nation Not of Men, But of Laws" -- especially in something as essential to the framework of freedom as Amendments 1&2. When you find it impossible to air opposing views, thank your "hero", he's the one brought that essential change to the Constitution with CFR.

I could keep this up, but let put it in these terms:
If McCain had caved at The Hilton, fewer lives would have been destroyed than are being destroyed now by his actively seeking Socialism. Add the possible fall of the Republic (are you certain it won't?), and no, his "herosm" doesn't give him a pass.

In your mind, at what point does his "get out of jail free" card expire? Where is the line in the sand for you? Does he have to burn the Constitution on the Hill's steps? What's too much fraternizing with our Republic's enemies disqualifies his previous service?

The Arnold comparison is apt. Arnold was wounded at Saratoga... in those day any wound was possibly deadly. A statue was erected to him, and if not for "turning coat" he'd doubtless be remembered as one of our greatest leaders. He's not, and that's because our forefathers weren't touchy-feely brainwashed.
