It was the cross-over votes in the early states from rats that gave him the illusion of inevitability. They clearly said he was a weak candidate for the GOP a long time before. We’re only on life support now because of Sarah Palin.

We are on life support and the current confirmation hearings aren't helping. We, conservatives, built up the pubbie party from the 1964 time frame to the 2004 time frame. We had majorities in both houses and the held the executive. And what happened, we managed to get two good supreme court justices and a few mid level justices and that is pretty much it. The "moderate pubbies" took our money and our help and just when we were ready to turn the tide, they sided with the enemies of America, knifed us in the back and left us bleeding on the floor. And they meant to do so. Even today Lindsy sided with the DIMs.

I have been a pubbie since 1964 and a voting pubbie since 1972. I have never voted for a DIM and never missed an election except when I was on patrol in my sub. I contributed in good times and bad...oh well many of us know the drill. I could spit nails at the pubbie "leadership". And I will tell you this, the way they are going we will be lucky have 20 senators and 100 congressmen before they are through. And don't tell me I need to get involved, the pubbies don't ask for my input nor listen to it when I volunteer it. They do however want my money. And should they start fighting for what I believe in, maybe just maybe I'll send them some till then all requests will be circular filed.
