A 49-year-old St. Cloud woman is in jail today, accused of trying to set her boyfriend on fire with a blanket and fingernail polish, police said.
The woman, who has yet to be charged, was being held in the Stearns County jail on suspicion of felony domestic assault, misdemeanor domestic assault and interferance with a 911 call.
According to police:
Officers were sent to the 500 block of 9th Avenue N. shortly before 5 a.m. Saturday, after police dispatch fielded a 911 hangup call. Once there, they learned that the victim, a 42-year-old St. Cloud man, and his girlfriend had argued.
At one point, the woman poured fingernail polish on him and the blanket that was covering him and attempted to light him on fire using a lighter and air freshener.
After the man seized the air freshener from the woman, she hit him on the back of the head, and bit him on the upper arm and his chest.

Assault is assault, whether drunk or not.
I guess when was laying spread eagle on the bed wearing nothing but a longing look and his bikini underwear saying, “Come on baby light my fire.” this is not what he had in mind.

Can you light nail polish? It’s never occured to me to try.
Well, he got off better than the one a few weeks ago that died after his “love” doused his privates with alcohol and lit them up. He knocked over the bottle of alcohol and proceeded to torch himself and the house in his panic.
If it’s acetone based, it should light.
Just guessin’.....
Tried to polish him off, I guess.
;-)
LOL! Maybe we’ll make an experiment in the summer, just out of scientific curiosity.
