Those kind of walks are good for nimble folks with small feet. I remember when I visited some of the indian ruins out West, like Mesa Verde, et al, where you have to climb ladders, before my equilibrium was laid waste by the labyrinthitis, my enormous feet (and even bigger shoes) made that sort of climbing very risky. =8-0>

I wear an 8 1/2, which is considered rather small. Size 11 and above are considered large for a person under six feet tall. Chip up, now - the most lascivious women seem to equate a man’s shoe size with something else.

Seriously though, climbing around Mesa Verde had to be cool. That vertical civilization without elevators was referenced in the latest “Time Machine” film and touched upon in “Lord of the Rings” elf cities. It’s still a mystery as to what caused those people to quit their relatively secure domicile.
