Ok folks here's the new thread for the new season.

I think it is pure genius to have the actor whose character was just discovered on the show to be a horrible liar delivering the global warming PSA. ROFL!

I believe Jack was saying that they had recovered 45 shells from the shooting (it was therefore the handgun the shooter was using, because the FBI uses 9mm).
Jack was saying that it made no sense for the shooter to have two different kinds of handguns, along with the other weapon they knew he had fired, because it would be “too many weapons for one guy”.
I don’t know if it is a good argument, it seems if you find a couple of handguns in the SUV you stole, and you stick them in your pocket, it’s easier to pull them out and shoot them than it is ti reload your own pistol.
I’m still trying to figure out a couple of loose ends.
What was all that stuff about shell casings? Larry fired a lot of shots from his handgun (presumedly the 9mm Tony used to shoot himself). Why didn’t they find casings from all those shots Larry fired....and the one where Tony shot himself??????
And...who’s Vincent Cardiff? Jack purportedly told the FBI guy that Tony coerced the info about upcoming WH raid from Cardiff before killing him. BUT...I specifically remember that incident where Tony came up behind Jack sitting on the steps overlooking the mall. Tony revealed there would be another attack somewhere, said he couldn’t tell Jack his source, but it was reliable. I don’t think Tony ever did reveal that to Jack. In fact, other than a shot or two of Tony in his truck outside the WH, I don’t think we saw Tony again until Jack called him about the shipment arriving at the shipyard. How did Jack know Cardiff’s name? Had we ever even heard Cardiff’s name before last night’s episode? [Unfortunately, I deleted my copy of the episode where Tony met Jack on the steps. Anyone still have it? It’s the 5-6pm episode.]
Yeah, I think it was just a somewhat messy way to plant the seeds of suspicion in Jack’s mind. Messy because it would have made more sense for Jack to immediately grasp that Tony was shot with Larry’s 9mm. And they still should have found 9mm casings on the ground, right?
She named the baby after her mother...jack’s dead wife.
Jack thinks Tony is a double agent.....points a loaded weapon at him and threatens to put one in his brain pan.
If Jack believes Tony is a Terrorist, everyone from the President down will believe it. His cover as a double agent is totally protected.
The word running through FBI HQ would be “Tony is a terrorist”. The traitor/traitors in the FBI would believe Tony has been confirmed as one of them. He would be the only character who has successfully infiltrated the group behind all this.
Tony could be the one who will save the day. Since he is suicidal....he would go down as an American Martyr....probably at the hands of Jack, who will find out the truth after the fact and then spend next season in an institution for the insane.....New York, the city,..... comes to mind.
if they did it that way they would have too much time to fill!

I hope you’re right. I personally find Tony a much more compelling character than Jack, much more interesting and enigmatic. Carlos would be a worthy successor to Kiefer, who is a couple of days beyond his “Sell By” date in my opinion. He is close to wearing out his welcome. Plus Kiefer is way too convincing in his Globull Warming spot. Carlos acted like he’s not really into it, which raises his stock in my book.
I would be perfectly happy with “12” myself. The 24-hour concept is too prone to shark-jumping twists and turns. Don’t get me wrong though, I’m loving every minute of it.

Lots of twists and turns this season. Looks to me like Jonas was smart to take the pill in the van, he knew it would bring on cardiac arrest and the soldiers would get him medical help.If he really wanted to die he would take it later when alone in his cell. He’ll bargain with Jack for the antidote, have Jack save his family, maybe even hide the fact he survived the pill. Voight’s acting is great in this role. Or Jack will go the stem cell route and want to live now that he knows Tony is involved and it’s not over. He’ll want to stay in the fight.
