Ok folks here's the new thread for the new season.
.................................................................................Set in Washington, DC, "Day 7" opens four years after Season Six with CTU dismantled and JACK BAUER on trial. Bauer's day takes an unexpected turn when former colleague TONY ALMEIDA returns. Meanwhile, newly elected President ALLISON TAYLOR leads the country alongside White House Chief of Staff ETHAN KANIN and First Gentleman HENRY TAYLOR.
A national security crisis prompts an investigation by a team of FBI agents including JANIS GOLD, RENEE WALKER, LARRY MOSS and SEAN HILLINGER. Although CTU is no longer, CHLOE O'BRIAN and BILL BUCHANAN are back for another momentous day of shocking events.
There will be a Starkwood antidote. Chloe may have to get a baby sitter for little Prescott, but I see her as having to ‘find’ the cure on the Starkwood ‘system.’
Jack will be back.
And my Bill Buchannon is still dead.
I saw somewhere he signed for next season; so yes, he’ll be back.
Or is he??
Don’t toy with my emotions like that...

Fox's hit drama has announced that Anil Kapoor, who played game show host Prem Kumar in the Oscar-winning indie, will join the cast for Season 8, which premieres in early 2010. Just last week, 24 star Kiefer Sutherland announced his plan to stick around for at least one more of Jack Bauer's very bad days.
In Season 8, Kapoor will play a Middle Eastern leader who comes to the U.S. on a peacemaking mission.
24's current "day" continues this Monday at 9 pm/ET, with the FBI engaging in a standoff against Starkwood's private military. The two-hour Season 7 finale is slated to air Monday, May 18.
As far as Jacks "exposure" to the chemical weapon lets look at some possibilities. We did NOT see the text message from Agent Moss to Jack. Was this because there is another mole in the FBI? Was Jack really exposed to a fatal dose? Does Starkwood have a cure if he was really exposed?
We will find out.
Here is the link to the Tv Guide article.

The text that the doc (who was on the show, as a doc, ‘days’ ago) showed Jack in the detox truck? I thought it looked like some kind of cooling unit attached to the bad stuff that leaked. Hmmmmm...so Garfy still could be a mole??? Or Chelsea??? Chelsea’s anchorman boyfriend??? Will Aaron find her ‘out???” Don’t think it is Ethan...and everybody else who wore a white shirt is now officially ‘dead.’ Including my Bill Buchannon...
Which text message are you talking about? The only one I remember (not seeing) is the one the CDC doctor handed to Jack with his blood test results.
But that’s intriguing: is Jack’s infection a ruse to flush out a bad guy or something? It was odd how quickly they went from quarantining him to “it’s not contagious”.
If that’s the case, what could his fake infection accomplish? Leaving him behind when, otherwise, everyone knows he would have been on the Starkwood mission? What other consequence is there?

Bill:.... Hi Dude, tell that Mom in Pennsylvania I'm OK.
Dude: Ok Bill, but she thinks you're a goner.
Bill:.... Ya, I know, bless her heart. OK let her worry for a little while then.
Dude: Dang Bill you're a cold one today, OK then, see ya'
LOL...
I needed a good laugh:) Many thanks, PaMom

Sorry about that post 6688. My computer is all messed up and doing weird things. I’ve ordered a new vid card, hoping it gets here before Monday night.
Anyway, Drive too Fast, was there a “hidden” text between Larry and Jack?
Ping for tomorrow, Viewer Discretion Advised!
From what I have heard and remember they did not show us the message. Some others on other boards have specualated the possibilities that I posted. Of course they could be wrong.
Unless you get invited to Rush Limbaugh's house. He has the whole season!
My DVR index shows it at its normal time tonight.
I just don’t remember a “hidden” message between Jack and Larry.
I went to the Fox “24” site to check the schedule and glanced at the episode summary from last week. Here’s how the site describes the moment when Jack got the CDC results:
“In the CDC van en route to the FBI, the results of Jack’s blood work come in. Jack reads the diagnosis,* his face unreadable*. He arrives at the FBI, where Renee is surprised to find that he’s not in quarantine. Jack is indeed infected, but he’s not contagious.”
Interesting that they point out his non-readable reaction to the medical news. IOW, the writers deliberately left that part vague....why else point it out? So there IS some trickery involved in Jack’s infection. But what?!
BTW, there are no gaps in the schedule between now and May 18. Assuming a 2 hour finale, they have to show an hour every week up til then in order to complete the day.
Thanks for the heads-up.
The FOX “24” website, my TV listings and my DVR recorder all list the show at its regular time tonight.
Moreover, as the season finale is scheduled for May 18-—and assuming a 2-hr final segment-—there must be a show every week between now and then in order to complete the “day”. Unless they skip a week and catch up with another 2-hr segment. But as far as I can tell, they’ve scheduled weekly episodes right up to the big finish.
marker for tonight.
