Ship's new name honors spirit of Kennedy clan

BUZZARDS BAY - The training ship at Massachusetts Maritime Academy is a floating testament to public service and advancements in education. And now it has a new name that matches its mission. With cadets braving the cold and lining the decks of the 540-foot ship throughout a dedication ceremony yesterday on campus, a collection of dignitaries and more than 100 people looked on as the T.S. Enterprise became the Kennedy.

Nothing good can come of changing the name of a ship.

“Yup. Always heard that it’s bad luck.”

Unless the proper ceremonies are performed, usually involving a large flow of spirituous beverages. Teddy should be able to help with this.

I believe Teddy mistakenly signed up for a 4 years stint and his Daddy found out and had it reduced to two years, He spent his time in Paris, went in a Private and came out a Private.

Indeed it is considered bad luck to change the name of a ship. Naming it after this bunch of shanty-Irish can have no good outcome.
