After spending the season as college football’s marquee stars, Florida quarterback Tim Tebow and Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford now hold the biggest off-season question in their hands.

One N.F.L. scout said that Sam Bradford is a "no-brainer" overall No. 1 pick in the draft.

One playoff win in 50 years, perhaps the best running back in the history of the game(Barry Sanders)quitting still in his prime due to the ineptitude of this crap organization, one coach(Bobby Ross) "jumping ship" halfway into a season for(mental)health reasons.

You forgot to mention a cocaine addict for a head coach, (but he did get them to the NFC Championship Game, I'll give Wayne Fontes that).

Imagine how awful it would be to have to be in Detroit. It’s a destroyed, ravaged, racially explosive, dangerous city.

I can’t disagree with you about the need for Defense in KC.
Considering 30 some players on the roster had two or less years experience, they had chances to win as many as 8 more games. Yeah the defense sucked. We wanted Herm Edwards head on a platter early on also. But as the season progressed, I think the team actually was coming along ok.
Like I said, 3 key positions. DL, SS, and Ol. (Gotta protect the QB)
Other news today, Missouri Player Jeremy Maclin declared himself for the NFL Draft. Sophomore. Has 18 records, team and NCAA including most all purpose NCAA yards as a Freshman. Kick returns. Receiving yards, and rushing yards. Projected to be 1st round, maybe as high as 10th. He will be a good pick for someone.

I think Tim can seal his legacy as the greatest Gator ever if he does stay. And I think, provided of course he doesn’t sustain a career-ending injury, that his stock will be higher if he does stay for one final year.

On the other hand, Percy Harvin would be foolish not to declare. As much as I would love to have him back, it’s time for him to get paid, he’s paid his dues.

The Lions are in the same boat, I actually think they are ok on offense, I wouldn’t mind if they drafted nothing but defensive players in the draft.

They won't. Unless, dare I say, its Tim Tebow. He has the intangibles that the Lions desperately need. It really depends on who they pick as a coach. But, the Lions need to build the trenches. You could put Peyton Manning on the Lions and he would be horrible simply because there is no talent on the o-line.

Editorial note: The Lions will suck no matter who comes in until WCF sells the team. He is a pox on pro football.

When a junior seeks his advice on whether to enter the NFL draft, Meyer typically puts the player in touch with his top NFL contacts, including coaches Bill Belichick, Jack Del Rio and Jon Gruden.

That's why Urban gets the recruits that he does, he looks out for them, and they know that.

Compare that with Randy Shannon at Miami, who deceives his recruits, like Robert Marve. Why would anyone choose Miami over UF is beyond me.

I really don’t look for the Lions franchise to remain in Detroit much longer. The city is in shambles. Who in their right mind would want to go there?

The team’s attitude pretty much mirrors the city’s attitude. Everyone has given up. The dqys of glory are long gone.

If you're looking for safety help, Travis Mays of USC is a stud. But the third pick in the draft (Chiefs) may be too high for him.

I hope the Niners take him at Number 10. He'll be the first safety off the board.

Mel Kuiper is the worst draft person there is. Just look at what he said about Mike Williams. And that’s not the only player he’s been completely wrong about.

Since this the last year without a cap on rookies it would be wise that they all go this year.

DING, DING, DING..!!

WE HAVE A WINNER!!!

I read where OU is going to be depleted next year

OU will be top five again next year. Gators will return to the championship, may go undefeated. If Bradford stays - which I doubt - could be a rematch. I'm betting it will be Florida - Texas, or Florida - USC next year.

I’ve never though Teboe was THAT GOOD. Until last night. He proved to me he should have won the H two years in a row. This kid can’t be stopped. And I love that he always gives the glory to his “Lord and Savior Jesus Christ”.

I heartily disagree, just look at the Steelers franchise in the early 70s, they had a legacy of losing just like the Lions, and it turned around.

Lions fans will be as fanatic as anyone when there is a winner. The Lions nation is out there, but we are just in hibernation.

As much as I rag on Michigan and Detroit, I still have a soft spot for Michigan, and it pains me to see what has become of it.

Recently on HBO there was a great documentary on the 68 Tigers, and how they brought the city together after the riots of the previous year. A Lions resurgence would be just what that city would need. And I think a guy like Tebow, if the Lions want him, would relish the opportunity, After all, you’re talking about a guy who goes off to missions in the Phillipines in the off-season.

Good. Now you can actually spell his name correctly.
