Sarah Palin Bags on Tina Fey, Katie Couric

You mess with the grizzly, you get the claws.

In new interview footage of Sarah Palin released on YouTube this week, the Alaska governor gets not only folksy but downright forceful in unleashing her opinions on the two women most responsible for molding her less-than-flattering public persona, calling out both Katie "What newspapers do you read?" Couric and doppelgänger extraordinaire Tina Fey.

Check out video of Sarah Palin's interview.....

the whole “you betcha” folksy routine wore extremely thin.

Kinda like "my friends." LOL!

I read somewhere, that the same could be said about Lincoln, that his voice, by some accounts, was rather high pitched.

We went to Gettysburg last week and I noticed whenever we saw a film depicting Lincoln speaking, the voice was high.

It stuck in my head because they usually get a more distinguished sounding actor for those kind of things.

Now reading your post, maybe it’s because they were going for historical accuracy?

The only reason I say she’s not ready, or screwed up a couple interviews, is because she’s speaking to what our society has become. I thought she was more than ready given her experience, but she got screwed by our media and those in her own party.

She not only spoke to us, rather than at or down to us, she had executive experience and wasn’t a part of the D.C world. I don’t worship her, she’s not perfect nor do I expect her to be perfect. I think she needs to hone her interviewing skills for those who rely on the MSM for their information, for those who don’t understand that they’re being fed propoganda.

"I read somewhere, that the same could be said about Lincoln,"

It was a different time. In Lincoln's election, less than 1% of the country actually heard him speak. But, many more read his speeches. Back in the day, it wasn't uncommon for the papers of record to print, on the front page, a candidates stump speech in its entirety.

Lincoln, against today's landscape of soundbites and telegenic appeal, probably wouldn't even run for office. How much progress have we really made since 1860?

65% of what country? The USA?

C’mon—polls are useless and can be made to say anyhting. Most people don’t know a thing about her, only what the media portrays.

I for one am glad that we are hearing her side for a change.

And after seeing that puke McLoser on Neil Cavuto today, it is clear that McLoser would have been no different than Obama in handling the economy. It is easy to see why Sarah was allowed to be treated and handled so poorly.

The lady was not supposed to win. Only she didn’t get the memo.

When I think of what that SOB McQueeg did to her, it is obvious he never intended to win the election.

“And, thanks for the grammar lesson. You would have been helpful in college.”

LOL, I was sorta teasing. No offense intended. I’m sure you would have been helpful when I was in college if your area of expertise was “math” since I had to get a tutor, lol...and I married him ;) I’m not a grammar or spelling nazi but the advise/advice thing jumped out to me. I probably should have ignored it or mentioned it privately. I apologize.

I think I mentioned it was “over half the country” given BHO won by 53% of the vote. Many, imo, fell for his flowery speech, and failed to see past his flowery type speech to the nothingness that is really there. He really said nothing. I recall listening to one of his speeches and was amazed because if I didn’t have knowledge, I would have totally fell for it. I can see why so many did fall for it. And, with the MSM being so influential to so many Americans, it’s not surprising.

I think Palin doesn’t appeal to well over half the country for a few reasons. Some of those reasons you already stated.

Lincoln’s voice was, when he first began speaking, shrill, squeaking, piping, unpleasant; his general look, his form, his pose, the color of his flesh, wrinkled and dry, his sensitiveness, and his momentary diffidence, everything seemed to be against him, but he soon recovered.
—William H. Herndon letter, July 19, 1887

But whenever he began to talk his eyes flashed and every facial movement helped express his idea and feeling. Then involuntarily vanished all thought or consciousness of his uncouth appearance, or awkward manner, or even his high keyed, unpleasant voice.
—Abram Bergen in Intimate Memories of Lincoln

The [second] inaugural address was received in most profound silence. Every word was clear and audible as the ringing and somewhat shrill tones of Lincoln’s voice sounded over the vast concourse.
—Noah Brooks in Washington in Lincoln’s Time

IMHO, somewhere, somehow, we have lost the trail...

That she thinks she’s heir apparent.

I read that too. I think it was during the Nixon/JFK time that all this superficial stuff became important. JFK was considered more handsome (that I don’t understand, lol) and a better speaker (again, don’t get that) than Nixon, during the first televised debate (?).

It’s the world we live in now so candidates have to adapt to it.

Palin blew it. Even during her debate she couldn’t even answer the questions she was asked, instead going off on a tangent.

Politics 101: Stating what you want to say, regardless of what particular question you were asked

You could also argue that she was acting like any good QB would be advised to do: manage the game and don’t make any mistakes and allow yourself a sufficient number of opportunities to score points. I think Sarah did that in spades during her debate with Biden.

I love Sarah Palin, but she’s at a disadvantage because of the media, and I don’t usually whine for others.

Reading these comments is pretty stunning. As my grampa would say you people are cruisin' for a bruisin'. If someone other than Palin were on that ticket Obama probably would have won 45 states and McCain might not of hit 42% of the vote. Her future is fine. She was very instrumental is saving a senate state for Saxby Chambliss. I agree what O'Reilly said the other night that she needs to go on a national show or a speaking circuit and do something similiar to when Reagan debated RFK (whoever the current edition of RFK is). My hunch is is that Obama will be re-elected in 2012 and Palin can wait till 2016. If she even wants to be president.

For all you Palin haters NR writer Florence King recently suggested that Palin could run in 2012. SHe then noted that 2012 would be the 10 year anniversary of the sinking of Titanic. Touche.

The first 3 anti-Palin posts all signed up after the election. We know that Hussain is doing internet warfare. Not hard to figure out who they are. Just report them to the mods and have them keep an eye on em.
