I don’t have a problem with this. The White House is home to the president and his family. A mother-in-law seems a close enough relative to be included. (If it were a bunch of third-cousins, that would be different.) I’m not a presidential scholar so I can’t name examples off the top of my head, but I know there have been other presidents who had relatives other than wife and children living in the White House.
Next we will hear that that Aunt of his, the illegal alien we heard about before the election (who has suddenly been out of the news) will be moving in also. Then the rest of the Obama family (from Kenya and all over) will come dwindling in and be “visiting” on long-term status. Just wait! And the taxpayers will be paying for all their upkeep and meals. Obama might have to get used to eating turnip greens for dinner instead of his arugula!
Of course the First Mother in Law will need a paycheck,too.
