Actor Mickey Rourke sympathises with U.S. President George W. Bush - insisting he doesn't know how any politician could have successfully navigated America after the 9/11 attacks on New York.
The Hollywood tough-guy spoke out about his political views in a candid interview with Britain's GQ magazine, and admits he doesn't understand why so many people blame Bush for a string of world issues - including Islamic fundamentalism and terrorism in the West.

True, there were second term issues, including Iraq. But, IMHO, if an article is a review of Bush's PRESIDENCY, any fair analysis should at least mention his re-election in 2004.
Loved him in harley davidson and the marlboro man.
But this blacklist is alright! Hollyweird is the enemy and it’s a shame but Rourke is going to be shunned for this alright. Like you said, after all his struggles to make a comeback and this will have him marked for sure.
It’s simple really. Bush is a Republican. The media (and the democrats) hate Republicans and will do and say anything to discredit and demonize them If it had happened during Clinton’s term even if he had done exactly what Bush did, it would have been seen as outstanding and successful.
Right. President Bush is a Republican who speaks against aborting babies. Aborting babies and marching at prisons in protest of mass murderers being executed are pet projects of the “sensitive, intelligent, and always right” socialists in Hollywood. Barack Hussein Obama, or any Democrat, can sit in a corner, drool and blubber his lips for the next four years, and he will be declared “brilliant” by “Harry”, “Katie” and “Charlie” - and, of course, “Paris Hilton”.
Slavery was in vogue 150 yrs. ago, and whatever is in fashion at the time is the rule of conduct for the liberal elite actors and cronies. If it was in vogue in 2009, you may be sure that Michael Moore would own one and make pro-slavery movies.
Disturbing, accurate, and - after decades of watching Dems in action - not surprising at all.
Loved that movie.
Barfly was a keeper, too.
This (calls to "butcher" and "behead") should not be protected speech in a time of war. Treason, slander, libel, perjury, etc. are NOT protected speech.
Don't forget that Abe Lincoln's assassin was a Democrat actor.
My point, again, was about the WRITER’s comment, which I quoted, not Rourke’s sentiments.
:-)
No, you can't really ban others from posting replies to you...it a JOKE, son.

She’s 44...? Wow.
Funny how the UK can let all these hate-filled idiots blow there mouth, but then crucify Prince Harry for saying Rag-head.
I loved this
