That’s because no past president had his past so tightly sealed from public scrutiny. All past presidents had long-time family friends to vouch for the credibility of the family and candidate. Most presidential candidates had their family past very well documented, because they came from public families.
It’s only Obama who has locked up all his childhood records, has no past friendships that he’s willing to admit to, had no family that he allowed to talk to the press.
