Oklahoma Representative Mike Ritze (R-Broken Arrow) has pre-filed a bill, requiring candidates for public office to submit a copy of their Birth Certificates. Ritze is a professor of Forensic Science and a physician, and was just elected to his first term in the legislature in November 2008. Ritze introduced his bill because he does not believe that President-Elect Barack Obama has demonstrated that he meets the constitutional qualifications.
Ritze also says that he is trying to persuade U.S. Senator Jim Inhofe to object to counting electoral college votes for Obama, when Congress counts the electoral votes on January 8.
The Oklahoma legislature does not convene until February. Oklahoma legislators are free to pre-file bills, but the Oklahoma legislatures web page does not yet have the text of pre-filed bills, so the text of Ritzes bill is not available. Since presidential nominees of qualified parties do not actually file for the November ballot in any state, it is not clear how Ritzes bill can accomplish its objective, relative to general election presidential nominees of qualified parties.

You said — “We have a nephew who just won his second term to the Oklahoma House. Hes very conservative! His name is Michael Thompson, and he lives in OKC. Look him uphes a great young guy.”
Cool..., you might get him on board for this kind of legislation... :-)
I have a feeling he’s already there—LOL! I’ll check to be sure, though.
Excellent Point!!!
The Black Messiah walks on water. He can’t leave footprints. Does he have a shadow? ;0)
If successful, this will make the 2012 election very very interesting. Obama will have to finally release his most secret long form birth certificate or try to win by not being on the ballot in those states. That might finally get the media to asking hard questions.
It would be great to have the Supreme Court and congress reject Obama before he takes office and does whatever damage he is going to do, but not many of us think this is likely. By pushing hard on this, the word spreads (AOL poll of over 100,000 now has over 50% saying there is a problem with Obama's natural born status) and legislation like this gets put in. Also, it might temper the hard left actions that Obama would have tried to implement.
You said — “We have been saying this for a while, so clearly, you don’t thoroughly read these threads before firing off your attacks.”
That’s not what dominates all these various threads. It’s not a discussion about getting state laws to vet the candidate, according to the full extent that many wish. Those are not the discussions.
They center around all sorts of strange and weird theories about how it’s going to *actually happen* that Obama doesn’t take office — or later — if he does take office, how some Sheriff is going to walk in to the Presidential office and escort him out... LOL...
For the people who specialize on those kinds of ideas in these discussions, they need to get connected with this “fresh air of reality” that I said was here with Oklahoma moving ahead with the very idea that I was saying I was going to contact the legislature with (in Oklahoma) when they are in session...
I'm thinking logic might prevail if enough people write.
Then I read an article, Justice Roberts had a hissy fit when the Supreme Court justices were denied a pay raise.
Oh well, so much for prevailing logic...hell these guys already make over $210,000. a year in pay alone.
Yeah, he will send the birth certificate he got from Hawaii and that will be that.
lol, I don’t think so.
