Roland Burris advocated a national handgun ban and yet owned a pistol. What a hypocrite.

Even among accountants, Burris left few strong impressions, but he also never gave any prosecutor grounds to indict him, which is not something Illinois voters take for granted.

Great line!

An Empty Suit For an Empty Seat

Why not? The empty seat was vacated by an empty suit.

Roland Burris is a disagreeable loser, but I love the way Blago put the democrat party into a trick bag. They are screwed - on the one hand you have black street thug and criminal Bobby Rush threatening racial violence if the black Burris is not seated in the US Senate. On the other, if Burris manages to be seated, he will lose the seat in 2010 to a white GOP candidate, and that is supposed to be a “black” Senate seat. It’s a beautiful thing Blago did for his vengeance.

There is method to Blago’s madness, for sure. He knows where all the bodies are buried and in whose closet the skeletons are kept. I have a deep feeling that Obama’s people (the odious Ballet Dancer in particular) is involved in criminality beyond this issue and that Blago knows it; perhaps even Obama was involved. I also fear that US DA Fitzgerald may be trying to protect Obama by revealing the conspiracy before he was ready to move.

I pray I am wrong and that Fitz is honest enough to follow this wherever it leads - even to Obama personally - and that he also is able to bag the criminal Daleys and their thug friends. Time to take out the trash in Crook County.

“’He will be a great U.S. senator,’ said Blagojevich, who was arrested on public corruption charges earlier this month...”

Roland Burris's Monument to Me

Roland Burris, the man Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich picked to succeed Barack Obama in the Senate, might get to etch another accolade into the monument he built for himself if this appointment goes through.

You see, Burris has already charted his esteemed career path on the walls of his future grave in Chicago's Oak Woods Cemetery (pictured here). Beneath a seal of the state of Illinois, Burris lists his accomplishments to date, and there seems to be plenty of room above the bench to mention his career in the Senate - if he has one.
