Just a sort of FYI.....and why I almost never click on anyone's YouTube links. :(
The video was 5 minutes and 7 seconds long - know how long it took for me to get to hear it without buffering? One hour and 21 minutes. :( I opened the link at 10:01 AM, it finished loading at 11:22 AM. This is the only reason I don't respond to music or video links - never knowing how long they are and most of the time not knowing who or what it's about. It's not that I'm deliberately ignoring! LOL
When I have to look for a song I don't already have and figure I can find it and record it from a YouTube video, I look for those that are usually only a little over 3 minutes, and go about doing other things while they're downloading. :)
Too much information probably! Sigh! One Fine Day when I check with AT&T to see if we finally have broadband access, the answer will be yes. :)
I truly thought that was a meaningful video for all women and some men would like it too. It just told what all happens in a group of women (like we are on F. R.,for instance)and the circle of friends we all have in our hometowns, etc. When they showed the picture of the gentleman, I thought it could have been her hubby who had passed on. I got a lot from it. I hate so bad that it took that long to download. I went through some of that when I was having so many computer problems and I don’t think I could wait like that either!!
I will be so happy when ‘one fine day you will get on here’ and tell us that AT&T has finally come through! We will have a party that day! And make a chocolate cake (like that one you showed yesterday.) What a cake. I wouldn’t make it because I can’t stand frosting that you have to beat that long. I have a candy recipe and I have to stand and stir for about 35 minutes while it cooks. It has to be just right after cooling and stirring to put out on wax paper with a teaspoon. I don’t like to fix it because I have had a couple of failures...but many successes. A might long post...sorry!
Billie, I'm catching Up on the Thread and just Read your Post; your Dial-Up Sounds as Slow as mine. :( I have a Satellite Connection that I Use Most of the Time, (Faster than Dial-Up but Much Slower than DSL), but it's Very Rickety, and is Always Breaking Down, so then I Use the Dial-Up. The Satellite Connection does Allow me to Watch Videos, but they Buffer through the First Playing, Sometimes Pretty Badly. It will be Like a Paradise if DSL is ever Available in my Area!
