May we both live long enough to see the day you are on my ignore list.
That implied wish for longevity does NOT extend to my computer. I must, however, admit that the reason for the failure was of PEBCAD origin (Problem Exists Between Chair And Desk).
When I installed the last replacement DVD burner, I left a steel DVD adapter inside the case on top of the power supply.
Eventually, I shifted the unit and the steel dropped down and landed on the flat ribbon wires. There it caused induced voltages which convinced WIN XP that a RAID failure had occurred.
