106 MPH?!?!
He should be ashamed. I have done more than that on residential roads...
I got a ticket for doing 74 mph and up. The cop basically gave me a break but pointed out that if I wanted to fight the ticket it was open ended at the top.
I'm going to take a second look at the new Chevy Impala.
Cop was ok with it, should have yanked my licence...
Heck, that’s my cruising speed with my beeber on.....
Was he racing against Charles Barkley to get to the girl in the “Hummer” first?
I still have the warning somewhere. Pretty cool.
Seen people go faster than that on the MASS Turnpike. MASS Drivers still scare me more than NJ Drivers.
At 106 mph .. he should have been all the way THRU the STATE before the Cop got the PATROL CAR Started.
Reminds me of the story about the Virginia State Police who pulled over a 60-something lady driving 95 mph on I-95 northbound heading for Washington, the lady told the officer that she was only doing the limit, i.e. “95 mph” and pointing to the red, white and blue Interstate ‘95’ highway sign, the predictable punchline to this story is the officer slapping his forehead with his hand and saying “thank GOD I stopped you before you got to the Beltway “I-495” ... !!!!!
In Ft Lauderdale, I think I only made it up to about 140mph on I595.
Always a showoff, LOL
The only reason that cop even stopped me was because he had a superior officer with him. We passed each other every morning but I was driving a new car I had bought in January and finally got a morning with good clear roads so I opened it up.
I even told the cop that it was a good thing we didn’t meet a mile back.
I’ve done 100+ in 20 mile stretches before on the highways out here. Seems like you can’t go more than 20 to 25 miles before you see another car on the highway up ahead, and have to slow down in case it’s a cop.
I used to routinely do 100+ on the turnpike north of Palm Beach. There is nothing in that area and almost no cops (FHP). If we wanted to go faster, there are a lot of roads out through the Everglades that are completely free of vehicles. It is easy to hit 170+ out there. Just don't do it through an Indian Reservation or you are toast.
The real danger of speed in some of the less populated areas of Michigan is deer. In the UP it’s deer and moose.
Res cops will throw the book at you every time. And they hardly ever take bribes.
