That makes you two sweet young things about the same age as my oldest sister. JustAmy, I see from your profile that your mother was born the same year as my father - 1913. At age 30 he was the old man of his infantry company in the Pacific. I will be posting some of his V-Mail letters home in a few years, assuming I am still at this business. I hope you both check in from time to time and give us the benefit of your wisdom and memory.

My husband never left the states. He was a tail gunner on a B17. When the bombs were dropped on Japan, he was a right scanner on a B29 preparing to head for the South Pacific.
