Bad feet are just incredible. Last year I began getting pain in my heels. So, I tried staying off my feet and while that helped, it didn’t help much. So, I went online and hunted up possible diagnosis and treatments. I guessed that it may be fallen arches so sometime around mid-October I purchased some shoe inserts, particularly with arch support and heel cushions.
I put them in my sneakers and everything. I often go barefoot in the house, but since October I’ve worn shoes everywhere.
What a difference! The foot pain is gone. I am back to wearing heals without added arch supports. I still wear those sneaks most of the time. I had no clue that flat feet would make for pain in the heels. But apparently, it does.
You are so right - a bad foot takes its toll on your body.
I am not completely pain free, as when the foot swells (and he said prob. for another 3 months) it hurts. But if I can keep off of it once it starts to swell it is fine. I can start back up walking in the mornings around the neighborhood, which really makes me happy!
Were those inserts gel filled? Dusty had injured his foot some time ago and we got those for his sneakers. Worked great.
