...was shocked to learn about the country's cruel past which involved the forced removal by the police force of mixed-race children from their Aboriginal mothers

It is wonderful that we live in such an enlightened society that the only cruelty that many children ever know is from the history books.

Awww! I’ve got to admit, he’s the most adorable child I’ve seen in a movie in a long time... my mom and sister and I went to see it, and my sister came out declaring that she wanted a whole bunch of kids just like him when she had a family.

I agree. I saw the movie weeks ago, with my mom and sister, and we all thought that kid was strikingly cute and sweet. His line to Mrs.Boss “I will sing you to me.” and she’d reply to Nulla “And I will hear you.” is still in my memory. One of the best movies I have seen in a long time. I was worried at the start of the film that it would be all political and insulting, but it was not. It seemed to be based on historical fact.

I LOVED the movie...and intend to see it again. Many of my friends agree!
