Don't waste your money on information calls and don't waste your time manually dialing the number. I am driving along in my car and I need to call the golf course and I don't know the number. I hit the speed dial for information that I have programmed.

The voice at the other end says, ‘City & State.’ I say, ‘ Garland , Texas .’
He says, ‘Business, Name or Type of Service.’ I say, Firewheel Golf Course.’
He says, ‘Connecting’ and Firewheel answers the phone. How great is that?
This is nationwide and it is absolutely free!

I still remember when it was always free. And, dialing “O” for the Operator was, too. As well as getting connected to a busy number, a long distance number, finding out the “time and charges” for a particular call, etc., etc.

Speaking of time...remember when you could call “time”, for free, and would get either a live Operator or a recorded message with the correct Time, and sometimes, Date, too?

AT&T stopped theirs in early 2007.

While the users of such a service will not receive billing for their use, it’s not “free”, as in “free” beer.

It’s just another google service that collects information for sale to increase their enterprise, which is, information brokering and ad sales.

Remember, there is no such thing as privacy on the internet. Whomever can capture your information, can sell it, too.
