People on both sides seem to forget that Warren was *not* given a position that influences policy, he was simply asked to offer a prayer. Then he goes away. This is not much of a concession to conservatives or anyone else, for that matter.

To be a consistently fair and open minded person I dont think you can feed into a herd mentality, imho.

I aspire to fairness. I don't exactly know what "open mindedness" is.

Rick Warren, Obama and the Left
I think it comes down to two factors:
Tolerance & Responsibility vs. Intolerance & Irresponsibility.
So here is my breakdown of today’s politics:

Responsible + Tolerant = Conservative
Responsible + Intolerant = Republican
Irresponsible + Tolerant = Democrat
Irresponsible + Intolerant = Liberal

Guess which one I consider myself.
