NY Times Wedding Announcement: This IS NOT satire
NY Times ^

...week later they had dinner together, and Mr. Weinstein’s attraction grew in direct proportion to Mr. Perreault’s dining pleasure. “He looked like he was sensually enjoying what he was eating,” said Mr. Weinstein, who is also a food writer. “This was a guy I could like.”...

Wow! You sure are brave. I'll try not to beat you up too bad. I'm sure others have already done that. People around here don't take kindly to butt buddies. LOL

There is nothing about homosexuality that is "lovely." They are sinning before God, and it's those kind of actions that have brought Judgment on America! God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah because of sin, and one of the greatest sins in their time was the sin of homosexuality. America will not escape His Judgment. In case you haven't noticed, America is going down before our very eyes.

Male homosexuality is not glorified for its monogamy but its exact opposite.
This is propaganda to go with the agenda. You clearly have missed it.

Once the gay “marriage” idea is accepted, then the concept of marriage will need to change to include the randy idea of going out for an evening and having sex with a dozen people.

That’s what’s coming next. And you should open your eyes to the moral equivalence of the lifestyle means to you and the country.

Full out depravity with animals isn’t far behind. And no, I do not jest.

“I pray for the people who commit these sins, but I’m not going to judge the people who commit them.”

I would not...not when they legitimize the sin with a public marriage.

Maybe?

“I’d much rather see a woman with another woman than with a man who beats the cr@p out of her.”

So those are the two options as you see it? Interesting logic.

Reminds me of mother when she’d defend her bad behavior by citing how she didn’t beat me to a pulp like some criminal moms.

Always useful to cite the bottom of the barrel in defending things no?
But the logic of it escapes me.

After a thorough eyewash here is the punchline of the article(also the last sentence)......

“Equally moved, Mr. Weinstein was looking forward to what lies ahead. “John continues to surprise me,” he said. “I still don’t know what’s deep inside him. And I still want to know.””

Really?

A side note.. occasionally the Boston Fishwrap(Globe)runs a wedding announcement of silly gooses like the aforementioned couple

So those are the two options as you see it?

That's not what I said. But if ONLY given those two options, then yeah.

Monogamous? Don't you believe it.
The disorder almost guarantees against it. They just worked out an arrangement that's all.

They are meant for each other. They're both gay, have the same interests & values. You may not approve or like it, but they're a match for each other. Neither one was ever going to find some nice woman and live a life of a straight man. Just reading their quotes you could tell that they're gay.

You've obviously reached an "enlightened" stage of moral apathy. Too bad that such apathy WILL destroy our society.

Few “gay” relationships last longer than two years, with many homosexual men reporting hundreds of lifetime partners. Source: Pollack, M. “ Male Homosexuality,” in Western Sexuality: Practice and Precept in Past and Present Times, ed. P. Aries and A.Bejin, pp. 40-61, cited by Joseph Nicolosi in Reparative Therapy of Male Homosexuality (Northvale, N.J., Jason Aronsons Inc., 1991), pp.124-25.

50% of homosexual men over the age of 30, and 75% of homosexual men over the age of forty, experienced no relationships that lasted more than one year. Source: M. T. Saghir and E. Robins, Male and Female Homosexuality: A Comprehensive Investigation (Baltimore: Williams Wilkins, 1973), pp. 56-57.

In 1978, a study done by two homosexual doctors revealed staggering statistics. Of 685 homosexual men, 589 (83%) had 50+ partners in their lifetime, 497 (73%) had 100+, 394 (58%) had 250+, 284 (41%) had 500+, 182 exceeded 1000 partners, an astonishing 26%. And 79% noted that over half their sexual contacts were total strangers. Source: Bell, A.P. and Wienberg, M.S. “ Homosexualities: A Study of Diversity Among Men and Women “ (New York: Simon & Schuster, 1978.)

Another large survey found that only 7 % of male homosexuals had been in a relationship that had lasted more than ten years. Source: K. Jay and A. Young, The Gay Report, (New York: Summit, 1979), pp. 339-40.

Homosexual author Seymour Kleinberg: “The prodigiousness of sex really depends deeply on change, and promiscuity is the easiest kind of change for gay men.” Source: Seymour Klienberg, Alienated Affections (NY: St. Martin’s Press, 1980), p. 171.

In a 6-month long daily sexual diary, gay men were averaging somewhere around 110 different sex partners per year. Source: Corey, L. and Holmes, K.K., “ Sexual transmission of Hepatitis A in homosexual men,” New England Journal of Medicine, 1980; Vol. 302, pp. 435-38.

A 1981 study found that only 2% of homosexual could be classified as monogamous or even semi monogamous (having ten or fewer lifetime sexual partners). Source: Bell, A.P., Weinberg, M.S., Hammersmith, S.E., Sexual Preference, 1981, pp.308-9.

Extreme promiscuity has in fact been a common occurrence among homosexual males for a long time. Back in 1982, homosexual author Dennis Altman even admitted: “ now there is a move toward claiming that this (promiscuity) is part of a different, perhaps even superior, way of managing sexual relationships... (t) he assumption that it is desirable to have frequent and varied sex partners is increasingly seen as a positive part of gay life style.” Source: Dennis Altman, “ The Homosexualization of America, The Americanization of the Homosexual, (NY: St. Martin’s Press, 1982) pp. 16-7.

According to the American Psychological Association, after the AIDS epidemic the average number of male homosexual partners only dropped from 70 to 50 per year. Source: Sally Ann Stewart, “ AIDS Aftermath: Fewer Sex Partners among Gay Men,” USA Today, 21 November 1984.

For thought?

With the respect to the question of relationships, my general view is freedom means freedom for everyone. ... People ought to be free to enter into any kind of relationship they want to.

The really laughable thing about this article is the precious tone of artistic hauteur surrounding the two old queens and their decision to make it all official (sort of):

They were a study in congruent contrasts, according to Carrie Rickey, who introduced them and is now a film critic at The Philadelphia Inquirer.....

“Jeff is more of a people person, and I’m more of a loner,” Mr. Perreault said. “It could be seen as complementary or irritating.”

They decided it was the former, and spent almost every day together until Mr. Perreault, who had been a visiting professor of art criticism at the University of California, San Diego, returned to New York.

This IS what passes for the cultural elite in America today, folks, at least at NYT and similar outlets.

You must be unaware of the domestic violence rates among lesbians, then. Talk to any cop who deals with these kinds of calls and ask them about the gays and lesbians. She’s got a better chance at getting beaten up with a lesbian than a guy. It’s a perception myth because population-wise, more women are beat up by guys they are with, but when you look at the percentages of couples, the lesbian couples have a higher degree of violence than the man/woman couples.

I know I'll get flamed for this, but I think it's lovely they have remained monogamous for 32 years. They're obviously meant for each other and I wish them the best.

Meant for each other? *WHO* meant them for each other?

God????

HE says NOT.

Homosexuals are psychologically and morally disordered people.

Whether you realize it or not, the pro gay forces have sucked you into their viewpoint (which they are shoving down our throats) that homosexuality is okay. It's NOT okay, but the libs have obviously succeded in convincing *you*.

You need to rethink your position. If you can get sucked into this, you can get sucked into anything on the lib agenda.
