Well well, how could this happen. The dogs are family pets, after all.

Here’s the deal. If other breeds were prone to just go off unexpectedly, we’d be seeing the stories about it occurring. If german shepherds were doing this and were ‘snapping’ and mauling and killing people, it would be making the news. If rottweilers were, or dobermans, or huskies were, or for that matter, chihuahas, were prone to this behavior and were regularly doing this, we’d be seeing it reported. But we don’t see such stories on any other breed of dog. Regardless of whether they are abused and raised by gang members for fighting or to protect drug dealers, or they are the family pet, these dogs, have something in them that makes them prone to this unpredicatably dangerous behavior. More than any other breed.

The other breeds (dobermans, shepherds, etc) are bred to attack on command, not go crazy all on their own. These things are time bombs with massive jaws.

Are they sure the pit bulls did it? It sounds to me like the work of a couple anti-BIG Tobacco “lawyers.”

"He was in the back yard smoking a cigarette, and for unknown reason, the two dogs that were known to him just attacked him."

The good news is he doesn't have to worry about lung cancer anymore.

The dogs of peace strike again. Cue the legions of posters who come and argue that pits are no more dangerous than labs.

Honestly though whats the point? Sure most are nice but if they have a bad day someone can be maimed or killed. If a beagle has a bad day nothing much happens. So why get a potentially dangerous animal when so many other breeds can provide wonderful companionship?
