Consider yourself lucky. It could be much, much colder outside -- like ice age cold.
Researchers at the University of Wisconsin-Madison have used powerful computer climate models to show that, were it not for a rise in global temperatures that started thousands of years ago with the first clearing of European forests, we would be entering another ice age. Glaciers would be growing instead of melting. Your back would be even more sore from shoveling.

Which *branch* of my ancestry?
I wouldn't go out on a limb to guess.
Maybe we should *leave* it at that.
Thanks.
Climate change is fascinating in that we know the Earth’s climate does change and has changed dramatically. IMO, the subject needs to be studied for what I consider to be the fact that Earth’s climate may indeed be changing in ways disastrous to humans. But we don’t know. We can’t as yet know what many factors go into climate change or if we have any ability to mitigate disastrous changes.
IOW, I love the science but hate the ideology of climate change.
Perhaps fortunately for us, events seem to be accelerating -
the low solar activity is striking, global cooling is on the march even on Mars, while Algor and his acolytes make hysterical statements about disappearance of the Ice caps in 5 years and 2 meter sea rises
so we will see “which emperor has no clothes” in the not-too-distant future.
BTW, the Idso’s have been voices in the wilderness against this ideology with thier studies and published research. Unfortunately I found that google seems to have virtually buried the links to their studies.
