If you look at my comment history, you will see I’ve done the same thing. Others have, too. It must be something else.
Digg is great for Tech and Games.
Politics on Digg, forget about it. The average Digg person is apparently somewhere slightly to the left of Lenin.
One, I wonder why the nexus?
Two, I wonder if the Digg-ian advice on Tech is really any good.
Three, if the tech advice is "good" I'm wondering if it is a highly myopic form of "good", that misses large sectors or purveyors of technology because of the ideologue's bias, or because of the underlying condition that gives rise to the highly selfish and childish politic.
Four, I wonder if the "games" Digg-ians carry on about are also a myopic subset of "games", and wonder where Digg-ians fall in regards to physical activity. Can they chop wood, hike a steep trail, scrimmage at rugby or flag football? Or are they all just finger-wriggling butt-fatteners?
I was getting very large amounts of high-profile interaction -— hundreds of “Dig up” and hundreds dig down in the same post.
The indication from Digg was they had received complaints.
I think the long and short of it is that the liberals have organized and make false complaints against effective posters.

Yes.
They said they had gotten “innumerous complaints” and reports of abuse.
I was extremely PC, never a bad word, never an attack on Islam or whatnot, just very high profile and stating facts in response to repeated lies (e.g., stuff like “Israel drove Palistinans from their homes, intentionally kills civilians, etc.)
I suspect a pretty organized “go complain about XYZ he’s a conservative asshole” campaign that liberal Digg doesn’t investigate much.
Make a screen shot of their response and, if you can, the offending post. Then I will make it into a post on Digg and see where it gets us.
Thing is, they never directed me to a post.
I just use the site as a quick way to find articles that I am interested in from around the web.
I very seldom read any of the comments anymore.

I’m on Digg and Fark all day and yes, one would say there is a Liberal bias on both in the comments, but it would take a hell of a lot of people to complain for them to ban you. Rarely people get banned unless they start some racist or homophobic sh!t, and even that will just get you on probation from posting for 3 days or so.
What the hell were you posting? I hope I don’t get banned.
I say suck it up, make a new profile, carry on. FreeP bans people too you know, so you’re not a special little snowflake.

Go look for “meanwesttexan digg” — the first one -— the second, “meanerwesttexan” lasted about 10 posts, all very civil, but critical of Islam.
I was pretty hard on the gazan arabs this last round — but avoided religious discussions entirely.
I imagine my IP is somehow on the “banned” list from the start, since I dared disagree with Mohammed.
Perhaps Digg gets head-chopper threats, and caves.

After further inquiry, they still do not direct to a post, just a generic “you violated terms of use.”
How many times have I asked for a screen shot of the email they sent you?
Look Francis, how many times have I told you the email says nothing but “the account has been suspended because you violated Digg terms of use.”
(Besides, it would reveal my name, which I am not inclined to do.)
I asked for the screen shot because that would make a great story to submit to Digg.

Ah, it's not worth it. My comments are 10x as inflamatory as yours are and I've never had a problem.
