Christmas in Yellowstone
Cool Video: Red Fox Hunts Mice
pbs ^
Posted on 12/16/2008 5:34:13 AM PST by JoeProBono
Under the snow, insulated from the wind and cold, is a network of tunnels inhabited by mice and voles. This red fox cant see them, but he can hear them moving. Diving nose first through the snows surface, the fox searches out a meal.

Looks like my cat chasing mice and voles in our field.
We prefer to scare away the foxes here as they confront the cats.

Cool. That fox has to work very hard for a meal. Those leaps diving headfirst into the snow are amazing.

How cruel, why can’t the fox and the mice all just get along? Maybe a vegan will happen by and explain how barbaric it is for the fox to murder innocent mice to satisfy his primitive appetite for meat (Mice Meat Is Murder!).

I would rather see Redd Foxx hunt mice.

I need the fox at my house. I suspect I have a few critters making home in my garage. One day a full bag of unopened dog food, the next day, an empty bag of dog food with a hole at the bottom.

I made my first trip to Yellowstone in about 1952, didn’t see a single Bison. We saw herds of elk, deer, even a moose or two and lots of bears. Went there a few years ago and we saw nothing but Bison. Why have they been allowed to take over?
