Each Giant player was paid $504 for winning the game. According to the inflation calculator what cost $504 in 1938 would cost $7,346.55 in 2007.

According to nfl.com each winning team player gets a $73,000 bonus and a ring which according to the inflation calculator what costs $73,000 in 2007 would cost $5,008.06 back in 1938.

So, players’ take is a little more. Just a little bit. I’m not including takes for playoff games or bonuses in an individual player’s contract.

I don't know about that. The $4,500 difference would have been a big deal in '38. Look at the article about PGA tour money winners at the bottom. $5,008 would have been good for 9th place or thereabouts. Sam Snead's $19,039 makes him the all-time richest golfer.
