LA CANADA FLINTRIDGE The iridescent blue feathers are flying in this well-to-do suburb where many residents have grown tired of peacocks they say squawk loudly, attack cars and use patios and yards as restrooms.
>
Others believe they can be traced to a flock that a prominent lawyer brought in to fight rattlesnakes on his ranch, which has since been subdivided.

I, for one, have always enjoyed driving the L.A. to Canada freeway. My treasure my time in Vancouver.
>>There are about 300 of them in Arcadia, where they have mostly been embraced, in part because the Los Angeles County Arboretum there is their main stomping ground.<<

That will give the peacocks a chance to adapt with disguises.
My girlfriend and I went to a little campground in Grand Marais Michigan back in June. Someone nearby had a peacock. After about two hours of listening to that damn bird I was ready to cook the SOB.
If they can fight rattlesnakes then I guess they are ornery.
you got that right.
A close friend of mine lives in a Sunland neighborhood where peacocks like to gather. Apparently, there is a group of them that love this one particular lady’s house. Every night, near sundown they make a trek to the house (you can stand there are watch them...the peacocks do not care) and the birds squak about and then fly up and assume their places in the trees for the night....its a funny....but beautiful sight...

That?
Maybe it's because I've lived with birds all of my life, but... ah... that's not too bad.
I came upon a peacock on a back road. It was walking up the road and looking into every patch of weeds. I was able to pace it by idling my car behind it. The peacock ignored me to keep walking until it finally crossed the road into some woods.
There was one evening when we went to watch the peacocks at the lady’s house. Well...a cute Golden Retreiver saw the peacocks and wanted to play....not sure where the owner was....and so the dog went up to the Papa Peacock with his tail wagging....and that bird squaked and totally charged and attacked the dog LOL! Poor dog backed up...looked shocked....then just walked away with his head hung low.....hahahah!
