Is Obama a natural born citizen, as required by the constitution?
By not releasing his documents and refusing to reply to the court, Obama is leaving himself open for ongoing court cases and allegations.
He has spent $850,000 to date fighting cases in 17 states to avoid releasing the requested documents which would prove he is or is not a natural born citizen, as required by the constitution. It costs $12 for him to get a copy of a Hawaiian birth certificate.
There was another case filed with the Supremes Thursday and two more are coming on Monday. Also, the case in Cal was rejected by the state court and is being sent to the USSC, after the secretary of state said it was not her responsibility to ensure that candidates are qualified. She said each party was supposed to qualify their own nominee; a process which never occurred. I provided my e-mail from the secretary to Alan Keyes to use in his suit in California.
Each case calls for something a little different. Example: tell the Sec of state to check the birth certificate; tell Obama to produce the certificate, prohibit the electors from several states from voting for Obama because he is not qualified. Taken collectively there is a wide range of allegations and requests for action by the court.
Thursday, there was a video posted on youtube in which secretary of commerce to be, Bill Richardson, says clearly, in Spanish, that Obama is an immigrant. Even if you don’t speak Spanish the words are easy to translate since they are very similar to the English words.
Another web site has posted his selective service registration pointing all of the irregularities and concluding that it is fraudulent.
The certificate of life birth claimed by factcheck.com to be authentic has now been shown to be a forgery.
Another group is alleging that his application for the bar exam in Illinois contains false information.
In 1961, the state of Hawaii allowed foreign born people to file a certification of live birth in Hawaii. The officials in Hawaii have said they have the original document on file, but none of them has said he was born in Hawaii.
It is alleged that when he went to school in Indonesia that he became an Indonesian citizen as required by their law and that in order to do that he would have to give up his American citizenship. In order to come back he would be naturalized and not natural born.
Lastly, it is alleged that he registered for college as a foreign student.
If he was born in Kenya, is not natural born, or filed for college admissions and aid as a foreign citizen, he has defrauded the country and committed a crime against the constitution. His whole live will unravel and we will have a national crisis, even though there is a constitutional succession provided for. There may be riots. And the media will wail and gnash their teeth, since most of them are refusing to cover the allegations and court cases. On the other hand, we would have established ourselves as a country under the rule of law instead of personal privilege, power, money, and fraud.
If the court does not act, there will be an appeal to congress to initiate an investigation leading to impeachment. However, the democrats control both houses, so it is expected they will not impeach him no matter what evidence of ineligibility and fraud exists. So much for the constitution!
Groups are raising money to challenge the bills he signs as not having the authority of law, should the USSC fail to compel him to release his documents.
Even if the Supremes do not require the president-elect to reveal these documents and the congress does not act, these issues will not go away. Whether he serves 4 or 8 years protected from court cases as president, they will file fraud charges against him, in various states, when he leaves office.
What kind of person would spend nearly a million dollars to hide a $12 document? Who would waste the time of so many attorneys, judges, and citizens who are merely asking that he prove he meets the constitutional requirements to serve as president? Why would a person who wants to be president reject a simple constitutional challenge to his qualifications?
Even many democrat voters are now asking “Why doesn’t he just release his records and prove what loons these people are?” Innocent people do not act this way. All of this would go away if he would simply release the requested documents, as McCain did within two days after being asked about being born in Panama, and other candidates, except Clinton (medical records) and Kerry (military records), have done in the past.

I have seen 300,000-1 million. How do we really know for sure. I have read there were three law forms hired. I’m guessing he’s spending campaign money.
Apparently now another case has reached the Supreme Court.
Many Americans, including a few FReepers, believe the reason for the sealed records is because they identify Obama as a Muslim.
We need a thread listing each issue or allegation, the basic info and the status of the issue. Something like a light-weight version of alamo-girl.

All he would have to do is say his father influenced him and as an adult he adopted Christianity. Doesn’t make sense to go through all this hassle now. He has the votes. Disproportionate reaction.
I saw it on a blog. I have seen 300-800,000 elsewhere, but don’t know how anyone would know exactly. Probably a projection based upon attorney time.

Not quite. An adult can renounce his citizenship by certain specific acts such as a sworn notarized written statement in front of a consular official. But it isn’t particularly easy, and it doesn’t happen by accident. And parents can’t do it for their kids.
Well, they can renounce citizenship for the kids, but US law doesn’t recognize the renunciation as valid. Kid is still a citizen.
I came across a news article which I can no longer remember where it was from but a guy named William Araiza claimed he took a course in International politics with him at Columbia. This is the only one though.
Obama was in Indonesia from the ages of 6 to 10.
There is no mechanism under US law by which American citizenship can be renounced by or for a minor child. Can't happen. See Perkins v. ELG, 307 U.S. 325 (1939).

US Supreme Court agrees that a native-born US citizen raised in Germany from the age of 4 by parents who had abandoned their naturalized US citizenship remained a native-born citizen of the United States. They specifically agreed with an Attorney General's ruling that in passing mentioned he was eligible to be elected president. This seems a more extreme case than Obama living in Indonesia from 6 to 10.
It might be said like this: Given the number of cases involved and the number of lawyers representing him, he must be spending a great amount of money, perhaps hundreds of thousands of dollars, to keep this $12 piece of paper hidden.
This is what a Copy of a Certificate of Live Birth (some data redacted) from the State of Hawaii, Department of Health issued in July 1962 for the Birth of a male in February 1962 on the Island of Oahu. Note the State of Hawaii, Department of Health official embossed seal and official signatures of the then Director of Health and the Registrar General which are underlined in red. A document similar to this is what most of the lawsuits are asking to be released for public viewing.
I wonder if their is a technicality of because his father was a British citizen and it passed to Obama that he is also by law of the UK that after he is sworn in he is subject to laws from England.So theoretically because he is a British Citizen he must follow laws of the British Parliament.
That would be the ultimate irony!
