Shepherd did the narration for the "Carousel of Progress" ride at the Disney parks, too. His voice is instantly recognizable.

I have lived nearly six decades and managed to have never stepped into a Disney park. When I was a kid we didn't have the money. When I had my own kids I wouldn't give Disney a nickel because of their politics.
Back when I went on that Disney ride, they weren't quite so reviled. It was quite a while ago, too, as the ride's major sponsor was GE and in the last "future" segent of the ride, the view through the "kitchen window" included the twin cooling towers of a nearby General Electric nuclear power plant.
If only things had turned out that way.
