You take the cake for the most unusual "car vs. animal" collision on this thread -- at least up until this point.
I almost hit a black bear up in British Columbia about five years ago. That would have been ugly.

KSC is in the middle of the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge. Lots of critters running around.
