Students said they won't attend the next school dance if a high school principal's plan to crack down on dirty dancing at school functions is enforced.
Not only has Prairie High School Principal Jason Perrins canceled a winter dance, but he wants students to sign a contract and take a training class before they can go to future dances. But his plan is not sitting well with many students.
Perrins said dirty dancing at school dances has been a problem for a few years now and the students have been warned, but he said at homecoming a few weeks ago the sexually explicit dance moves got out of control.
So now, Perrins has canceled an annual winter dance in January and said pretty much every dance after that has to be earned.
He said he and student leaders are working on drawing up a contract for students to sign when they buy tickets for the next function.
Plus, he said they'll have to take an appropriate dance training class before they're allowed in.
Some students said they're upset by the new requirements.
"If we're going to the dance, we have to learn how to dance. I think it's kind of stupid," student Christina Fougere said.
Some students said they think the new rules are not only unfair, but that people just won't go to anymore dances if they are strictly enforced.

OK, so you and your kids have apparently been lucky enough to miss out on this phenomenon, dirty dancing 101: There are two kinds of dancing that could be called ‘dirty’ dancing: grinding and freaking. Grinding refers to a girl rubbing her butt in a guy’s crotch, or vice versa, or two girls (but never two guys) or a whole chain of people. Freaking refers to kids who act like they’re having sex standing up or dry humping, albeit fully clothed, but often complete with hands where they don’t belong and slobbering all over each other’s exposed skin. Lying on the floor like you mentioned has never been a part of it that I’ve seen, and would become pretty unpopular if someone did think of it because it would limit it to two people, and the girls who do such things still care about their dresses more than they care about their self-respect.
So if they aren’t allowed to show up and rub their hairy parts on each other they don’t want to go?
Fine... keep your hairy parts home then.
LOL!
