I’ve had people threaten me with lutefisk.
I did exactly what they asked, and darn quick, too!

We lived for a few wonderful years in Williston ND. I saw and heard about lutefisk but managed to avoid actually eating any of the stuff.
I still love and keep in touch with our friends up there, though--in spite of their odd eating habits--LOL!

The bravest man in the world was the first man to slurp an oyster, chased by a lutefisk. Then he fell down dead.
His name was Sven and he vas a real Viking, by yiminy.

Dude, I did not eat lutefisk as a kid when offered, in fact, I had to leave the table , altho I think I tried the blood sausage.

Lutfisk & lefse.....yummmmmmmm. If prepared properly and served with melted butter, it is actually pretty good. But eat it before it gets cold, and that’s a trick in itself.
I make lefse....we love lefse....and while some like it with sugar & cinnamon, I never do that. I don’t mind if others do it, but I prefer mine just plain with butter or with meat rolled up in it. Meat like, Norwegian meatballs, leftover turkey or chicken, and even breakfast sausage links.

My son was back in Minnesota for Thanksgiving. He smuggled 6 lbs. of lutefisk back to Los Angeles for Christmas dinner. I wonder what the baggage screener thought it was?
