Can you expand on this? Why would the North be opposed to trade?

because the tax money form the south was all going to the north,
the south went to open trade routes out west and not pay tax’s to the north on those trades.
The north did no like this at all.

In Govt years leading up to the war arguments ensued about this and as time went by the anger grew.
Why should we pay tax’s and we never see any of it, why does it all go up north?
